My Story

One afternoon in a long-term care facility, while reviewing the medication therapy of a patient who was sitting in a wheelchair directly in front on her, she looked up and gazed at the patient with curiosity. She thought “What did you do with your life to bring you here in front of me today? Who did you love? Who are your children? What did you do for a living? What choices did you make to lead you here to this facility, at this time in your life to need skilled nursing care just to maintain your life?” At that point she recognized the futility of working in a nursing home and had the epiphany to begin working with patients that had life to live and quickly exited the long-term care pharmacy practice to focus on Healthy Self.

Healthy Self started as a health-food and vitamin shop in Sewickley, Pennsylvania, where Dr. Nezneski offered individual consultations in integrating medications with natural supplements. Dr. Nezneski continued to investigate healing modalities for her own health challenges and learned to trust the wisdom of her body through a series of health crises. Through listening to her body and paying attention in a mindful way to the signals her body was providing (ok screaming for attention), Dr. Nezneski began meditating regularly twice daily. With the deep listening came the recognition of her intuitive abilities leading to training in Reiki and Intuitive Energy Medicine and healing. Dr. Nezneski became a Certified Spiritual Healer through the James Van Praagh School of Mystical Arts. Dr. Nezneski became an ordained minister from the Church of Inner-light Seminary Program, Boulder, Colorado. Dr. Nezneski believes that integrating traditional medicine with natural healing modalities is our God-given birthright.

As a respected leader in her field, Dr. Nezneski learned firsthand the most effective ways to succeed with multiple conflicting priorities, emerging with a sense of peace, satisfaction, and organization in both her personal and professional life. If you’re someone with a busy schedule who struggles to get things accomplished, Dr. Nezneski provides the answers to gently and effectively lead you in the direction of your dreams.

Dr. Nezneski is employed by McKesson, a fortune five healthcare company, as a Managing Consultant in the federal 340B program, where she works to help hospitals, healthcare systems and patients get access to Orphan Drugs.
